We started with employment and learned that a job alone doesn’t create stability. People were still navigating housing, isolation, and trauma on their own, sent from one agency to the next, telling their story again and again.
They were just never connected.
“What if the system moved around the person, instead of asking the person to move through the system?”
Instead of one service at a time, we surround each person with the layers of support their real life actually requires connected, and working as one team.
So we did. Instead of asking people to travel outward to find support, we brought partners, employment, housing, and care directly inside. People came out of their rooms. They participated. They mentored one another. A place of isolation began to become a place of connection.
Support begins with a relationship that lets people speak honestly and take the next step.
